San Pedro Esqueda Ramírez (feast November 22).
San Pedro Esqueda Ramírez grew up serving at this very sanctuary — altar boy, sang in the choir, and finally he became its parish priest under persecution. Arrested here in November 1927 and shot days later, his last words were "It won't be long before I see heaven." His relics rest in the town's parish church of San Juan Bautista.
