A church that rose during the persecution: begun in 1897, its construction was halted by revolution, then resumed in 1924 — and in 1927, at the war's height, entrusted to Fr. José Garibi Rivera, the future first cardinal of Guadalajara. Dedicated to the Blessed Sacrament, it stands as stone proof that the Church outlasts its persecutors.
