San Jenaro Sánchez Delgadillo (feast January 17).
San Jenaro Sánchez Delgadillo was born in Zapopan in 1886. Arrested near Tecolotlán in January 1927, he was hanged from a mesquite tree — and when the poorly tied noose failed, shot at dawn. "I forgive you; may my Father God forgive you also — and always, ¡viva Cristo Rey!" His relics rest in the parish church of Cocula.
